Case 10

Patient History: A lady in her sixties complained of dark pigmentation of her vulvar and labial tissues. She also wanted her prior labia minora and majora plasty resurfaced for a more even and smoother appearance.

Procedure Performed: Sutureless Radiofrequency Labial Resurfacing and Revision was performed to smoothen the edges of the labia minora and majora. This gave a smoother and refined look to the labial tissues. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) of Vulvovaginal region for lightening of skin tone was performed several times. Along with a gentle lightening cream or Vitamin C and mushroom extract, this resulted in a a more even skin tone and reduction of the dark brown discoloration of the vulva and inner thighs. No bleaching solutions with peroxide, hyroquinone, or Kojic acid were used.

Outcome: Patient very happy with the softer, smoother, and lighter appearance of her vulvar region enabling her to gain confidence.
